Chris Hooper - Editor
Chris began his entertainment career at the age of 15, playing music and touring in several bands, eventually co-founding the popular Canadian group, The Grapes of Wrath in 1983. Along with recording several top ten songs and touring extensively in North America and Europe, he also earned three gold and two Platinum selling albums.
Producing films since his teens, he has won the B.C. Student Film Festival and has received awards from the 24 Hour Film Festival and The Great Canadian Commercial Contest. He has also directed and/or edited over twenty music videos, having worked on projects featuring artists such as Randy Bachman, Sarah McLaughlin and other Canadian artists and is a Juno Award & West Coast Music Awards Nominee as a music video director.
Chris’ edits television commercials, short films and promotional projects. His documentary film, ‘James Picard: Off The Canvas’ was nationally broadcast on Bravo TV and in 2010 he was commissioned by Simon Fraser University to produce a 45 minute film. "Shared Journeys", which Chris wrote, directed and edited, documents an innovative program that challenged top Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal executives to spend time learning about each other's workplace.
Grand Unified Theory is his first feature film as editor.
